Consciousness Mapping: Exploring Your Relationships Through The Star Matrix
|Author||Fr. Jaime C. Bulatao|
|Dimension||6 x 9|
Consciousness maps, according to Fr. Jaime Bulatao are “maps of human relationships, especially of relationships that come from the distant past and are deeply etched in our heart and mind. It begins to take form at birth as a baby reaches for his mother’s breast” and becomes more varied and intense as the child grows. If one is to understand a person fully, one must tap into this person’s consciousness. Every page of this book guides us on how this can be done.
Jaime C. Bulatao, obtained his MA in Experimental Psychology from Woodstock College, Maryland, and his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University, New York. He founded the Department of Psychology of the Ateneo de Manila University in 1960, where he is currently Professor. Father Bulatao is known for his clinical work on understanding the phenomenon of spirits and the use of hypnosis in therapy. Less known of him perhaps, but of equal interest to Father Bu, is the use of multivariate statistics and computer technology in psychology. In his study of consciousness mapping, he integrates these two interests, thus understanding psychological phenomena through statistics.
Gilda Dans-Lopez finished her MS in Analysis, Design, and Management of Information Systems at the London School of Economics. She has an MA in Psychology with concentration on Child and Family Development and is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University. Since 2001 she has been teaching assistant to Father Bulatao and is also part-time faculty of the Department of Psychology of the Ateneo de Manila. As a therapist, she worked with abused children, and presently serves as clinical psychologist and therapist for adult patients at a government hospital.
