De La Salle University Press is one of the most productive academic presses in the
Philippines. It publishes tradebooks, textbooks, monographs, occasional papers,
scholarly journals, research reports and professional lectures.
Set up in 1983 as part of the De La Salle University's Research Center, it became
an autonomous unit in 1987.
In 1994, the Press registered as a non-stock, non-profit corporation with the
Philippines' Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It has then become the
University's exclusive printer and distributor of publishable materials. The Press
accepts outside printing jobs after priority orders from the University are filled. It
also provides editing, design, print production and consultancy services.
DLSU Press has published over 250 major titles, and now produces an average of
75 new books and 20 journal issues annually. It participates in domestic and
international bookfairs.
It publishes the most number of scholarly journals among universities in Southeast
Asia and offers the highest royalty rates among the Philippine academic publishers.
DLSU Press is a member of the International Association of Scholarly Publishers and the
Book Development Association of the Philippines.
