While it is true that no school of thought anywhere in the world is completely indigenous, given the fact of cross intellectual breeding, this book brings out the thesis that Filipinos, once given the freedom, hewed out their own aspirations and ideals with respect to the education of their young.

Those who have dwelt on the subject, rather cursorily, have tended to attribute thinking on or about Philippine education to everyone else except the Filipino.
