Consisting of three parts, the book begins with an Introduction where the author reflects on the following: "What is a value?", "Why is there a need for values?", "Can values be taught?", "Are values subjective or onjective?", "Are values permanent or changeable?" and "What are Filipino values?"

Part I presents general types of values and their meanings.

In Part II is explored a new set of Filipino values that are sourced from the people's cultural heritage: wise sayings, proverbs, poems, songs, maxims, parables, and aphorisms.

Expounded in Part III are five elements of the Filipino philosophy of life, which have already become the people's philosophical values.

The Afterword puts together in a nutshell the highlights of the study.
