ROSA MARIA ICAGASI is a professor of Art Studies. She earned her B.A. Englis degree cum laude in UP, M.A. Humanities at the University of Chicago, and M.A. Spanish at the Instituto De Cultura Hispanica in Madrid, Spain. Her publications includes the two volumes of poetry in English: Always There's a Thud (New Day Publishing, 1987); Aquarium (Giraffe Books, 1996) and Urduja Beleagured, a book of essay on Pangasinan Literature and Culture (Kalikasan Press, 1992). Among her translations from Spanish to English are El Comercio de Nueva Espaρa con Filipinas 1590-1785, by Carmen Yuste Lopez and Memorias de la Revolucion Filipina by Felipe Calderon..
