Ang Pantas (the Prophet)
|Ruth Elynia Mabanglo|
Ang Pantas is Ruth Elynia Mabanglo's translation in Filipino of Khalil Gibran's The Prophet. The 27 chapters of poetic essays narrate Almustafa's farewell to the people of Orphalese with whom he lived for 12 years. Gibran's profound philosophy is echoed in Almustafa's revelations that cover everything about life-love, crime and punishment, time, religion, and death among others- all that is "between birth and death," cradle and grave.
Interspersed in the text are illustrations of Thirteen Artists' Awardee Edgar Talusan Fernandez.
