In A Madness of Birds, Jose Wendell P. Capili speaks of loneliness, finding roots, nostalgia, love, powerlessness, and kinship with his country and with nature. Whether he talks of a very personal matter or of a socio-political issue, he is lyrical and relevant. In this first poetry collection, he proves himself a fine poet.
