Here's a new collection of short fiction with a refreshing new voice which bridges the usual gap between "literature" and ordinary readers who shun the "literary." It includes the hip novella, Getting Better, first published by Cosmopolitan magazine. This book is very now, unmistakably contemporary - alternately funny and sad, tough and vulnerable, in-your-face and help - I'm-hurting-something-awful!
Tara FT Sering was managing Editor of Cosmopolitan Philippines, and is now Editor of Summit Books. Most of these stories were written while taking up courses for her MA in Creative Writing at the UP. She says she "cant really write long short stories so she more often than not ends up doing very short novels." Her second book, All The Right Moves, a novel for young adults, was published by Adarna.
