Tagaytay Baraco is coffeee grown dangerously. The coffee crop is cultivated 2,000 feet above sea level, and overlooking Taal Lake, on whose crater nestles the smallest volcano in the world. The volcano's pent up violence - unleashed in the past with grievous results, may have seeped into the soul of the coffee beans. The coffeee is robust tasting and has come to be associated with masculinity. In fact, "barako" in the Tagalog language, means virile, "all male" Filipino.
