Q:  Is KabayanCentral a real company?
A:  Yes. We are a Philippine company with an Internet store. You can contact us by mail, phone or email, but if you call, remember we are in the Philippines, and keep Philippine business hours ( GMT +8, or PST, or Philippine standard time ).

Q:  Is my order safe?
A:  Yes. Shopping in Kabayancentral is safe and guaranteed. For a detailed explanation, click here.

Q:  What will appear on my credit card?
A:  Your credit card will show you that we billed you for total cost of goods which will be delivered to you, plus applicable shipping charges. The company name that will appear in your credit card bill is KABAYANCENTRAL

Q:  I don't have a credit card, is there another way I can pay for my online purchases?
A:  Yes if you are based in US/Canada. Our collecting agent in CA can accept check payments for us. But email us first the items you wish to purchase and the shippingmenthod you want (air mail or express mail) to enable us to give you your total order amount.

Q:  Do you ship to Europe and how much will it cost?
A:  Yes. We ship to Europe, United States, and any place in the world where the postal service or courier services deliver. The shipping cost is calculated based on the current rates provided by these services.

Q:  I live in L.A., California and have ordered from other webstores in the US. I noticed that KabayanCentral's shipping rates are higher? Why is this so?
A:  All items in our webstore originate in the Philippines and are shipped from Manila.

Q:  How long does the shipping take?
A:  It varies, of course, depending on the delivery location and the service quality of your local postal service. Typically, US-bound postal air mail takes anywhere from 1.5 to 3 weeks to reach its destination. Express courier services take about 3 or 4 days. Deliveries to US military addresses take much longer (5 weeks up).

Q:  It has been more than 3 weeks already and I haven't received my order sent via postal mail yet. What happens now?
A:  Please email info@kabayancentral.com about the delay immediately.

Q:  Can I order a CD not listed in your music section?
A:  Yes. As long as the CD you want is OPM and available in the country, we can get this for you. All you have to do is email our webmaster regarding your request. And this also applies to other items, not only CDs.

Q:  Are the items you sell original?
A:  Yes. Being Philippine-based, we have direct access to the producers of the items we sell.

Q:  The product I ordered is defective. Can I get a refund or a replacement?
A:  Yes but please email us first before you return the product. Also, we need to receive the item pre-paid postage back to our operations office in Manila before we can send you the replacement item or refund the purchase price to your credit card less shipping cost.

Q:  If I order in large quantities, do I get a discount?
A:  Most probably. Just email our webmaster and we will determine how much discount can be offered.

Q:  I'm having difficulties ordering from your site. My shopping cart remains empty.
A:  Please make sure that your browser is configured to accept cookies. You can do this by checking the security options of your browser. Otherwise, your cart will always be empty.

Q:  I just made an online order but I haven't received any confirmation from you. Does this mean you didn't get my order?
A:  Email confirmation of online orders is personally done by the webmaster. If you do NOT receive a confirmation email within 2 business days, we didnt get your online order. But if you place your order Friday night (Manila time), you'll get an email Monday morning already. KabayanCentral.com staff gets the weekends off.:-)

Q:  Are your CDs, VCDs and DVDs legitimate?
A:  Yes. KabayanCentral is a strong advocate of intellectual property rights. All our music and video products, as well as the other products, are sourced from legitimate channels.

Q:  Do your VCDs work with US players?
A:  There are some US DVD players which can not play VCDs. Please check your manual. BTW, almost 80% of Tagalog movies are released in VCD format only because it is cheaper.

Q:  Do your DVDs work with US players?
A:  Unless otherwise specified,the DVDs we sell are coded Region ALL. This means it can be played with any DVD player. Please take note if a DVD is specified in the webpage with a Region Coding Restriction. This means you will need a multi-region DVD player to view it if you are outside the specified region.

Q:  I am not familiar with DVD Region Coding. What is it?
A:  The DVD world is divided into six major geographical regions, with two additional regions reserved for specialized use.

This means that DVD players and DVDs are labeled for operation within a specific geographical region in the world. For example, the U.S. is in region 1. This means that all DVD players sold in the U.S. are made to region 1 specifications. As a result, region 1 players can only play region 1 discs. The DVDs are encoded for a specific region UNLESS you own a Code Free or Multi-Region DVD player.

REGION 1 -- USA, Canada
REGION 2 -- Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland
REGION 3 -- S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South East Asia including Philippines
REGION 4 -- Australia, New Zealand, Latin America (including Mexico)
REGION 5 -- Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
REGION 6 -- China
REGION 7 -- Reserved for Unspecified Special Use
REGION 8 -- Reserved for Cruise Ships, Airlines, etc...
REGION 0 or REGION ALL -- Discs are uncoded and can be played Worldwide,

In the Philippines, all DVD players are multi-region rated and all can also play VCDs/CDs.

Q:  Why am I required to submit additional documents for my purchase?
A:  This procedure may be required for purchases that are for delivery other than the billing address of the credit card used. If you can have your purchase delivered to your billing address, this will speed up the processing.

However, the additional documents is a must requirement for ALL FIRST-TIME orders made from countries which are not a participant in the Global Address Verification System of credit cards.

More important, this procedure is for the mutual protection of the customer and our webstore to make sure that no unauthorized use of your card is done by anybody.
