ZSA ZSA PADILLA is
considered one of the most important recording artists-performers in the
industry to date not only for
her talents but for being one
of the most durable talents
we have as well. She has been
in the business for more than 15
years now and remains still hot after all those long years.
She was here even before the
likes of Jaya, Lani Misalucha
and Regine Velasquez capture
the recording scene.
Aside from her numerous albums (her first album was "Am I Your Kind Of
Woman" recorded in 1984), Zsa Zsa is also a recipient of numerous awards like Best Female Recording
Artist from Awit Awards, Most Outstanding Female Singer of the Year from Consumer's Union of the
Philippines, Tinig Awardee of the year, and many more. On the side, Zsa Zsa is also a multi-awarded
actress being a versatile actress herself.
Zsa Zsa has also appeared on stage (Nick Joaquin's "Larawan" held at the
Cultural Center of the Philippines), and has topbilled a number of solo concerts all of which were packed
with Zsa Zsa followers. Abroad, like in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the Middle East and even in the
United States, Zsa Zsa was warmly accepted with her soothing voice and solid songs.
For a while, Zsa Zsa had to take a year of absence when she had a back operation.
But now she is back on the scene and more than eager to stage her singing prowess again. Zsa Zsa has an
upcoming show at the Music Museum (October 23 and 24)and will be releasing a new album under Viva
Records. Zsa Zsa released her last album in 1994.
Zsa Zsa said her new album consist of pop and revival songs. Most of them her
favorite songs like "Don't Give Up On Us Baby", "Last Night I Didn't Get To Sleep At All", "Stuck On
You", and some Tagalog ditties like "Ano Bang Meron Ka", "Ganyan Kita Kamahal" and "Sana'y Pangarap
Mo Rin".
