Lou Salvador Jr is harassed by a rival gang
It was the era of the misunderstood youth, of the ever growing influence of American pop culture on the country. Rock 'n Roll, Elvis Presley, James Dean, gangs, rebels without causes. Faithful is a poignant melodrama of a young man (Lou Salvador Jr) whose recently widowed father (Jaime de la Rosa) marries his secretary (Rosa Rosal). The boy becomes a 'rebel' of sorts, joins a gang, is arrested, and finally ends up in Boys Town, a rehab center for wayward kids. There he befriends a kindly pr iest (Oscar Keese) who helps reconcile father and son. The young man finally realizes that his stepmother only wants the best for him.
'Faithful' was a popular American song at that time, originally sung by Perry Como, but performed in the film by our own Diomedes Maturan.
