Tagalog Movie
Directed by Lamberto V. Avellana
Story by Francisco
V. Coching
An epic directed by National Artist Lamberto V. Avellana celebrates the surge of nationalistic pride felt by Filipinos during most of the 1950s. Mario Montenegro was one of LVN's most popular stars and was appreciated by audiences in practically any film genre, whether it be melodrama, comedy, musical, color costume epics, like 'Rodrigo de Villa', produced in 1952 or historical biopics, like 'Dagohoy,' produced the following year.
