Bathhouse in the Philippines operate discreetly underground as it is a favorite target for police raids and arrests.
Most of the gay clubs in the country are actually just backroom clubs.
The story revolves around the lives of men who frequent the seedy bathhouse "Klub Hombre" where you have to be "masculine", "attractive", "huge", in order to be accepted to the exclusive club.
Here comes Rico, a very young student who is just discovering his sexuality and exploring new worlds as a young homosexual.
He has fallen for someone he has met tru the internet and decided to meet the guy thru an eyeball.
However, when Rico recites his song which he has just composed for his new love, the guy got turn off and left him.
Rico travels home, devastated.
But a dashing and handsome guy comes and gives him an invitation to "Klub Hombre", an exclusive club for men.
Rico joins the club in order to be with Cris, but the matured veteran of the Klub had other plans.
Cris is a veteran at the bathhouse who is bored about his sexploits.
Cris has a heart for newbies or freshly out gays.
When Rico comes into his life he sees the potential of a mentor-student relationship, until everything gets too intimate.
Rico begins his downward spiral journey through the dark dingy walls of the bathhouse and tru various camps of gays, bisexuals and transvestites and transforms into becoming just another bitter bitch.
But will Rico live the same lonely life that Cris lives?
Or will innocence lost be regained again?
"Bathhouse" is about the ideals of a young gay about to fall in love and the practicality of a matured gay about to retire from a life of cruising.
