"Dolphy" is a two part biographical film of the life of Rodolfo Vera Quizon, better known as Dolphy , as told by the man himself in a series of interviews about his life during the last 80 years.
Additional interviews from people he has touched and shared his moments supplements this documentary, along with still photographs and video excerpts from his movie and television work.
From his earliest memories, he talks of his birth in July 25, 1928, his life as a simple poor boy from Tondo, growing up during World War II, doing odd jobs to help his family, and the rise to fame.
The living conditions that he faced from the 1930's up to the new millenium.
He also talks about the pittfalls, the struggles, and the challenges that he went through; as well as the journey he took both as a public figure and a family man.
He talks about love and lost love, about life and death, about politics and economics, about friendship and family relationships.
This film is an insightful look at a man, who gave laughter, and was hailed king for it.
