Tagalog Movie
San Basilio was once a peaceful barrio until Seρor Escobar (Johnny Delgado), known for being greedy and mean comes in.
He wanted the whole barrio to kneel before him.
People thanked God for having Julio Valiente (hiding under his mask while riding on his stallion) who always defends them from Escobar's men.
But Julio Valiente got killed and the bad elements ruled again.
Islaw (Lito Lapid), a meek sacristan who was orphaned because Escobar's men killed his parents saw this vision of him being a hero under the spirit of Julio Valiente.
Though hesitant at first, Islaw assumed the identity of San Basilio's legendary hero Julio Valiente and started to live according to his vision of helping the barrio regain its peacefulness.
This alarmed Escobar and his men and forced the people of San Basilio to reveal the identity of Julio Valiente or else they will execute Father Arselano, the kind barrio priest who treated Islaw as his own son.
Islaw a.k.a. Julio Valiente challenged Escobar to a final duel which led to a fight between good and evil.
