Following a battle in the Philippines during WWII, thousands of American and Filipino soldiers were imprisoned by the Japanese in POW camps.
Amid brutal treatment from their captors, a rescue mission was organized.
This is the true story of the Sixth Ranger Battalion, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Mucci, as it undertakes a daring rescue mission on a POW camp in Cabanatuan-- against all odds.
Traveling 30 miles behind enemy lines, the battalion aims to liberate more than 500 American prisoners of war from the notorious Japanese P.O.W. camp, in the most audacious rescue ever.
