In Singapore, the Chinese 7th month is a time when the gates of Hell open.
This period of time is known as the Hungry Ghost Festival.
One year, on the first day of the 7th month, a young Filipino maid arrives in Singapore to start working and accidentally breaks some of the rules of the Festival.
