Awareness of her daughter's upcoming 21st birthday gives Nessa the strength to break out of the facility, and she tries to track her down in the city to make contact before her imminent transformation.
But it is not only Nessa who is searching for Lyka- the Black Lobos who are out to wreak havoc are also on the mission to track down the last guardian and lure her to the dark side.
Meanwhile, Noah uncovers what is probably the greatest revelation in his life: Ulay is alive and that is none other than Lyka.
This spurs him to be overprotective about her, which in turn endangers his job and alerts the Lunas to eliminate all obstacles in the way of Noah's mission including Lyka.
Upon learning this, Noah kidnaps Lyka and hides her away in a safehouse, where he finally divulges his true identity as Jay-Jay to her.
