Donning the identities of each other, Xander and Javier are exposed and introduced to new people, particularly to those closest to each.

Nevertheless, new interests complicate things as Xander finds himself falling for his brother's best friend, the rebel Krista, while Javier is smitten with Xander's childhood friend and fellow soldier Gabrielle.

But it is not only the lives of these young people that romance plagues- it was an obsessive love that triggered the collapse ot the Sebastiano-Del Tierro family.

Alondra's actions are all dictated by her desire to have Joaquin, her sister Lora's true love, and her schemes pay off when she ends up being married to Joaquin, who duped into thinking that Xander is their son.

Though devoted to each other in love, Joaquin and Lora are separated and hurled into different worlds, unaware that their love has borne them twin sons.

And worse, it is a secret kept by their current spouses, Alojandra and Bernabe.

Amidst the brewing love affairs and disquietude over past romances, the military force and the militant group are in collision.

With members of General Sebastiano's family in the forefront of both parties, personal issues compel them all to make compromising decisions.

But then Alojandra is bent on keeping her man and her secret, to the point of influencing Javier to embrace his dark side.

As brothers are forced to turn against each other, a dangerous clash between the soldiers and the rebels is in the works, and their family has yet to prove whether love can heal deep-seated wounds and salvage ties before live are taken and they are faced with more losses.
