Barely recovered from her husband's death Ingrid suffers another heartbreak when she finds out from a US Embassy official that Marlene is officially David's legal wife, rendering her in a bigger fix as this would mean that Marlene is entitled to Ingrid's share of his estate- a fact she is determined to keep a secret at all costs,even if it means commiting the crime of assuming Marlene's identity. Ironically another secret gets uncovered as jealousy prompts Greta to reveal that she became a prostitute to help fulfill JR's dream of becoming a soldier and that Dave was her first costumer. The shocking revelation becomes Audrey's last straw and she breaks up with a panicked Dave, whose new assignment in the war-torn Mindanao impulsively makes him propose marriage to her despite their current dillema.
